This expansive home, defined by its tall ceilings and generous footprint, required a more intentional approach to create warmth and functional living areas.

The kitchen was redesigned to include two large, double-sided islands—one dedicated to prep and cooking, and the other designed for gathering, complete with integrated beverage and wine storage and seating on both sides. Contrasting finishes, including a painted tambour-clad island, introduce depth and sophistication against the lighter perimeter cabinetry.

To address the scale of the space, oversized pendant lighting was introduced above the islands, helping to visually anchor the room and create a more intimate atmosphere.

Adjacent living areas were thoughtfully arranged to maximize comfort and usability, featuring a large lounge setting complemented by a secondary, more intimate seating area tucked between the kitchen and main living space.

To contrast the lightness of the primary spaces, the entry hall and dining room embrace a more dramatic tone. Textured wall coverings and a patterned ceiling treatment add richness and visual interest, creating a layered and refined arrival experience.

Custom decorative lighting throughout the home, designed and fabricated by a local artist, ties the spaces together with sculptural forms and elegant finishes that complement the overall palette.
